About
Work Experience
Hello! I'm Khuselwa, and I'm excited to begin my au pair journey. Since I was sixteen, I've been caring for my two younger siblings—a ten-year-old and a three-year-old—which has given me meaningful experience in childcare and family life. Through this, I've learned that children thrive when they feel safe, heard, and loved, alongside clear guidance. I believe my role goes beyond everyday care. I see myself as a friend, teacher, and trusted person in the children's lives—someone they can talk to and learn from. I'm committed to creating an environment where kids feel secure enough to express themselves while understanding boundaries and discipline. I'm fluent in English and Xhosa, which I hope will be helpful. I'm available full-time from March 2026 and genuinely eager to bring my dedication and warmth to a family. While I'm new to au pair work formally, my years of hands-on experience and passion for children's wellbeing have prepared me well for this role. I'm looking forward to being part of a family and making a positive difference in children's lives.
Personality & Values
I believe children should grow up in an environment with clear discipline, while also feeling safe to express their emotions and be heard without judgment.
What Makes Me a Great Au Pair
I am an au pair, but I am also a friend, therapist, teacher, and sometimes a shoulder to cry on for the children in my care.
