Hlumelo worked for me as a babysitter, caring for my young baby during this period. She was very caring, gentle and trustworthy, and I always felt comfortable leaving my baby in her care. She was patient and attentive to the baby’s needs and made sure the baby was comfortable, clean, fed and safe. I could rely on her to treat my baby with genuine care and kindness.

Hlumelo worked with my children after school, helping them with their Grade 4 schoolwork, homework and study routines. She was always patient, caring and dependable, and the children were very comfortable around her. She enjoyed spending time with them through activities such as arts and crafts, playing outside and riding bicycles together, and she would also help with getting them ready for bedtime. She was also very helpful with my older children, even though this was not part of her main duties, especially when they needed extra help with homework and studying in Life Sciences and Physical Sciences. She was always willing to help and was very good at explaining things in a way they could understand. She is no longer babysitting on a regular basis as my mother has since come to stay with me and is able to assist with the children. However, Hlumelo still comes to help from time to time with homework, studying and tutoring when the children need extra support. I have always found her to be responsible, trustworthy and genuinely caring towards the children.

Hlumelo helped me look after my toddler during the holiday period while I was working and needed someone I could trust with my child. She was very caring, patient and gentle, and I felt comfortable leaving my child with her. She kept my toddler busy with different activities like playing, reading, drawing and simple sensory activities that were fun and helped with learning and development. She was also happy to follow the toddler’s usual routine, including meals, naps and playtime. I really appreciated how involved and caring she was, and I could see that she genuinely enjoyed spending time with my child.
