About
Work Experience
Hello! I'm Solam, and I'm excited to join a family as an au pair. While I don't have formal childcare qualifications, I've been caring for children since I was 12 years old, looking after my nieces and nephews. I also have my own daughter, which has deepened my understanding of what children need — patience, consistency, and genuine love. I'm patient and adaptable by nature, staying calm even when things get busy. I learn quickly and believe in maintaining loving discipline. I'm outgoing and quick to forgive, which helps me build strong, positive relationships with the families I work with. Most importantly, I approach every child in my care as if they were my own family member. I'm fluent in English, Afrikaans, Zulu, Xhosa, Sotho, and Tswana, which I hope will be helpful. I'm available full-time from March 2026 and am based in Nyanga, Western Cape. I'm genuinely committed to supporting your family and creating a warm, nurturing environment for your children.
